Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of WWE Raw on June 3.

The king and queen have been crowned, and now it's time for WWE to focus its efforts on the upcoming Clash at the Castle pay-per-view.

This week's show spent some time building feuds for the June 15 show in Glasgow, Scotland, while also including a handful of interesting matchups.

Here's a look at what WWE advertised heading into Monday's show:

    • Damian Priest vs. Rey Mysterio
    • Kiana James vs. Natalya
    • The New Day vs. AOP
    • Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser
    • Ricochet vs. Bron Breakker
    • Finn Bálor vs. Dragon Lee
    • Liv Morgan addresses kissing Dominik Mysterio

Let's take a look at what went down during this week's Raw.

Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser

1 of 9

    Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser.WWE

After we got some shots of various Superstars arriving at the Giant Center, Hershey, Pennsylvania, Morgan made her way out to the ring for the opening promo segment.

Dominik Mysterio came out and tried to tell her off, but Finn Bálor had to show up and tell Morgan to leave after it was clear Dom wasn't going to do it.

After they cleared out, Sheamus came to the ring for his match against Kaiser.

As The Celtic Warrior was making his entrance, Kaiser attacked him from behind with a chop block. We went to a break with officials checking on the Irishman's knee.

We returned to see the match in progress. The former WWE champion was able to recover and took control after shrugging off several chops that left his chest with deep red welts.

This was a battle of finesse vs. brute strength. Sheamus is a bruiser who can overpower most people, and Kaiser focuses more on technical wrestling, so we got to see a bit of both styles.

There wasn't a ton of variety in what we saw, but it was a hard-fought contest that allowed Kaiser to look good on his own without Gunther being the main attraction. Sheamus did a lot of selling for him to make him look even better, too.

Kaiser was able to get the win by tripping The Celtic Warrior on the middle turnbuckle and rolling him over into a pin.

This was one of those matches that was kind of simple but a lot of fun.

    Result: Kaiser defeated Sheamus

    Grade: B+

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Commentator Michael Cole called Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill superhero-like as if we don't all know they possess the X-gene.
    • Kaiser was chasing after Sheamus like he was trying to set a sprinting record.
    • The welts on Sheamus' chest showed up so quickly. Kaiser must have been pretty stiff with his strikes.

Dragon Lee vs. Finn Bálor

The first of two LWO vs. The Judgment Day matches took place next when Lee and Bálor went to battle.

JD McDonagh was at ringside, but nobody from LWO was there.

Bálor immediately took control and wrestled Lee to the mat, but he only kept the high-flyer grounded temporarily. The luchador began to make a comeback after we returned from a commercial break.

Lee and Bálor are both excellent at their respective styles and are versatile enough to work with anyone, so they had no issues finding their groove and hitting some nice spots.

Interference from McDonagh provided a distraction so Carlito could trip Lee on the top rope, but both were taken out by the high-flyer shortly after.

Bálor recovered during that time and hit the Coup de Grace for the win. As The Judgment Day attacked Lee, Rey Mysterio and Braun Strowman came out to make the save.

This was all done to set up more for later in the show, so all of the interference wasn't a negative in this case.

    Result: Bálor defeated Lee

    Grade: B

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Priest was shown telling Dom to make it right with Rhea Ripley during a backstage segment before this match.
    • We got a video package for Lee before Bálor came to the ring. It's nice to see WWE making an effort to feature him more. He's a special talent.
    • Cole talking about La Bestia Del Ring is yet another sign that WWE's position on mentioning other promotions has changed a lot.

Alpha Academy and Sami Zayn Segment; Bron Breakker vs. Ricochet

3 of 9

WWE Raw Results: Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights From June 3 (4)

    Ricochet and Bron Breakker.WWE

Sami Zayn came out to talk about what has been going on with Alpha Academy in recent weeks. He called out Chad Gable but only Otis, Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri came out.

They delivered a message from the group leader saying he could turn them against him.

Zayn agreed to give Gable a title shot but also addressed the students and asked if they have had enough of Master Gable yet. The Olympian attacked Zayn from behind and ordered Otis to take him out, but the big man refused.

After Maxxine begged Gable to stop, he tried to kick her out until Otis got in his face. Zayn recovered but Gable sent him into Otis and knocked Maxxine off the apron. Otis picked up Zayn and slammed him before storming out of the ring to carry Tozawa and Maxxine away.

This was somewhat predictable, but it did a good job setting up Otis to get a massive pop when he finally turns on Gable.

    Grade: B

The next match saw an injured Ricochet looking for some measure of revenge against Breakker after being attacked by him two weeks in a row.

The One and Only slapped Breakker to get things going. He used his speed to avoid the powerhouse and hit some strikes, but he also kept selling his injured ribs.

One big clothesline from the former NXT champion put Ricochet down. Breakker had the upper hand until after the break when the high-flyer began to build some momentum.

This looked like it would be a squash at first, but they ended up putting on a solid match that made Breakker look better on the main roster than he has in previous appearances.

After an impressive Frankensteiner, Breakker cut Ricochet in half with a Spear for the win.

    Result: Breakker defeated Ricochet

    Grade: B-

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • R-Truth trying to give Carlito advice about being in The Judgment Day was hilarious.
    • Maxxine is great at displaying emotion.
    • Otis carrying two adults like it was nothing was an impressive display of power.
    • Breakker's gear had a good design. It fits his character well.

Natalya vs. Kiana James

4 of 9

WWE Raw Results: Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights From June 3 (5)

    Natalya and Kiana James.WWE

One of WWE's resident veterans was in action against a newcomer to the main roster when Natalya took on James.

Not long into the match, James faked an injury so the ref would make Nattie back off. The Queen of Harts made her pay with a running clothesline.

This match was a clear indication of how important experience is in this business. While James is a great athlete and probably ahead of the game, her weaknesses were much more evident against someone as skilled as Natalya.

James picked up a relatively quick win over The BOAT.

    Result: James defeated Natalya

    Grade: C

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • James' pre-match interview was decent but not as good as some of what she was doing in NXT and it's hard to tell where the disconnect is.
    • Whenever Natalya has to slow down for somebody, you can notice it easily.

Braun Strowman vs. Carlito

5 of 9

After helping LWO fend off The Judgment Day earlier in the evening, Strowman was looking to take out his frustrations against Carlito.

The Monster Among Men dominated his opponent until McDonagh and Bálor tried to distract him. It didn't work and he still beat Carlito easily. This was a glorified squash in every sense, but it wasn't totally out of place.

WWE needs to rebuild Strowman and having him win easily against a veteran is a good start. The Judgment Day ended up taking the big man down to end the segment.

    Result: Strowman defeated Carlito

    Grade: Incomplete

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Natalya was shown talking to Sonya Deville after her match.
    • Morgan saved Dom from an attack after he tried to use a chair on Strowman.
    • McDonagh was hammering away on Strowman with a chair after the match.

Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark vs. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill

6 of 9

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair were invited to Raw this week by Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark, so it didn't take long for them to show up when Bianca and Jade were in the ring.

Raw general manager Adam Pearce came out and booked a match to take place immediately for the titles.

Baszler and Belair started for their teams and went back and forth fighting for control until Cargill tagged in for a double-team maneuver.

As it looked like Belair was about to win with the KOD, Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre attacked the champions to cause a DQ.

This match didn't have much to it, but it least it set up a potential triple-threat situation for the champions to overcome.

Result: Cargill and Belair won by DQ

    Grade: C

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • The angle WWE used for the double vertical suplex was great.
    • Baszler is funnier than people think, but she is so intimidating that a lot of people miss it.
    • The way Cargill hit the steel steps looked awkward.

The New Day vs. Authors of Pain

7 of 9

WWE Raw Results: Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights From June 3 (6)

    New Day and AOP.WWE

After a quick promo from Jey Uso hyping up Money in the Bank, we got a tag match with Akam and Rezar taking on Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston.

Earlier in the show, Karrion Kross told Woods he wouldn't need to follow Kingston around for much longer, but the New Day man brushed it off and walked away.

Shockingly, this ended up being an absolute squash. Kingston being distracted by Kross led to AOP getting a quick win.

    Results: AOP defeated New Day

    Grade: Incomplete

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Paul Ellering stopped aging about 15 years ago. He's looked exactly the same for a long time.
    • Fyre and Dawn gave an interview backstage after this match.

Damian Priest vs. Rey Mysterio

8 of 9

WWE Raw Results: Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights From June 3 (7)

    Damian Priest and Rey Mysterio.WWE

This week's main event saw Priest take on Rey in a non-title match. Nobody else from LWO or The Judgment Day was at ringside as the contest began.

This was the usual powerhouse vs. underdog battle. Both men are veterans, so Rey's usual experience advantage was almost non-existent because Priest has been doing this for almost 20 years.

This bout was more like a series of moments than one long story. They would hit a move or two, sell and begin again. A lot of matches are like that, but it was more noticeable here for some reason. Perhaps it felt too choreographed.

What we can say is that just about everything they did was performed well even if it lacked a sense of urgency and drama.

A few members of The Judgment Day took out Lee at ringside and distracted Rey so Priest could hit South of Heaven for the win.

Drew McIntyre attacked The Archer of Infamy and hit a Future Shock DDT before picking up the world title.

    Result: Priest defeated Mysterio

    Grade: B-

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • It's so easy to forget that Priest is 41. He looks much younger and the announcers never seem to position him as a longtime veteran.
    • Rey's springboard moonsault into Priest's arms looked good. Priest didn't look like he had any trouble catching him.
    • The modified hurricanrana Rey tried to hit on the top turnbuckle did not look great. His legs never came close to wrapping around Priest in a way that looked like he should be taken down by the move.

The Final Word

9 of 9

This week's Raw had a lot in terms of storyline development, but most of the matches were either too quick or forgettable.

The best bout from Monday's show was easily Kaiser vs. Sheamus. The two European stars beat the life out of each other to kick off the show.

A lot of people got screen time this week, especially members of various stables. Alpha Academy, The Final Testament, The Judgment Day and LWO were all featured in multiple segments.

We also saw several women on the show in various roles both inside the ring and backstage. It was a good week for storylines but pretty mediocre for action.

    Grade: C+
